crappy parking

There is a parking space at work that no one parks in. This space is one of the nearest parking spaces there is. I know that in the spring time we don't park there because the seagulls,-yes seagulls in the suburbs- sit on the nearby light pole and crap all over the unsuspecting cars below. I'm not just talking a little spurt of poo here and there, I'm talking about unloading all they can all over the car. It's a big mess.

Now that the temp has dipped below burrr, I'm so surprised that people are still not parking there. I mean, it's just a little bird crap right--and it's cold-- are you really going to park farther away just so you don't have a little (a lot) of crappity crap on your car?

Well I'm not too proud I guess, and for the past two mornings I've taken the premo parking spot that no one else takes. Yesterday a fellow staff member saw me sitting in my car-recently parked and back tracked to tell me that no one parks there because of the bird crap. True, she did point at a shiny black car that had big white droppings all over one side of it, but I just laughed and thanked her for the 'warning'.

Luckily my car is white in color already- however being as my mom and dad live on a dirt road, it's quite dirty looking from recent travels to their house, so if the bird(s) do a BOMBS AWAY--i'll have a now noticeable mess on my hands that probably won't get cleaned off until the first thaw of spring.

Oh well, in times of Burr, I'm willing to get crapped on to save a few steps each morning.

Runner friends

I haven't been able to read up on my buddies' blogs for sometime, but today I got caught up. It amazes me how many of my friend's are runners. They run just for fun. Many of my friends have done 1/2 marathons and are either training or thinking about training for full marathons, they've done 3k's, 5k's and probably other kinds of k's that I don't know anything about.

Running and I don't get along well. I wish we did, but I hate running. I have no will power to keep going or even to start.
Looking at all of my friends with huge grins on their faces and there stories of victory certainly inspire me, but I'm not sure I'll ever be a runner, but Yay for those of you who are!

November is almost OVER

where have I been all of November?
I have no idea.
I guess work has been taking all of my energy. It hasn't been good at work and it takes a lot to get through the week.
We're finally getting our union involved, but whos to say it will improve the situation. It's been very frustrating and makes for a stressful work environment.
Needless to say, I was beyond ready for this Thanksgiving break.

Halloween Fun

Halloween is one of my most favorite days to celebrate. I love the trick or treaters and decorating my house and having family and friends come over for some food and fun.

starting the morning off..

I woke up at my usual 5:30.
I showered and got into my usual routine.
I was packing my lunch and getting all of my stuff ready to get into the car, when Mike came out to the living room. He had heard me scurrying around downstairs.

Him: "Jill do you know what time it is?"
Me: "um, about 6:30- I'm almost ready to go"
Him:" No, it's only 5:15"
Me: "crap"

My alarm said 5:30 but it was really 4:30 in.the.morning!!!

I got up at 4:30 A.M. 4:30!!! A.M.!!!!
